September is also Urology Awareness Month
Urology Awareness Month is an annual September campaign to raise awareness for various urological diseases, including bladder and kidney conditions, prostate problems, erectile dysfunction, and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
The focus of the 2025 campaign is on “Bladder Leakage: Time to Act,” encouraging people to address bladder leakage issues.
The main aims of the campaign month are to encourage people to seek help and support for these conditions:
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- Kidney stones
- Bladder control problems (incontinence, overactive bladder)
- Prostate problems (such as prostate cancer)
- Erectile dysfunction
- Kidney diseases
A main feature of the 2025 campaign is also to raise awareness and reduce stigma around bladder leakage. If you have concerns about a urological condition, please talk to a healthcare professional.
