World Mental Health Day – Friday 10th October 2025

This Friday (10th October 2025) is World Mental Health day.

It is an annual event, aimed at raising awareness about mental health, promoting positive mental health, and reducing the stigma associated with mental illness.

The day, established by the World Federation for Mental Health, provides an opportunity for people to come together, talk openly about mental wellbeing, and learn about resources and support systems available to help those struggling.

Purpose and Goals:

To educate the public about the importance of mental health and the prevalence of mental health problems.

To challenge the stigma and misconceptions surrounding mental illness, encouraging open and honest conversations without judgment.

To highlight that mental health is as important as physical health and encourage daily efforts to support and boost mental wellbeing.

To offer information on various support services and resources, both for individuals and for those who want to help others.
