Protecting Your Kids, Yourselves and Others

Protecting Kids and Families from Contagion

Illnesses spread quickly — especially among children. Germs don’t take days off, and they love company. The best defence is simple:

  • Keep up with vaccinations to stop serious diseases before they start.
  • Wash hands often — after play, before eating, and after using the toilet.
  • Stay home when unwell — it protects others and helps recovery.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes — tissues and sleeves stop germs travelling.
  • Clean shared surfaces — phones, toys, and handles can carry infection.

Don’t wait for symptoms to “call round.” Early care and prevention keep families healthy and communities strong.
