You and Your General Practice (YYGP) is a national NHS resource designed to help patients understand what they can expect from their GP surgery and how to get the most support from the wider GP team.
It explains how general practice works, the roles of different clinicians, how appointments are prioritised, and how patients can use services safely and effectively.
YYGP also helps patients understand how to share feedback or raise concerns about their care. Feedback can be given directly to the practice, through Healthwatch, or via the local Integrated Care Board (ICB).
These organisations use patient experiences to improve services, strengthen quality, and ensure GP practices meet national standards.
