Our Reception Team is a good place to start when you want help. Not only do they know what is available at our Practice, they often have a great deal of knowledge about health services in the local area.
How Can We Help?
The main role of Reception staff is helping you to get the assistance you need. Our team of Receptionists perform a wide range of duties including the booking of appointments, handling requests for prescriptions and home visits, greeting patients, dealing with queries, and answering the telephone. At branch sites they will also undertake dispensary duties. To ensure that they can assist you as efficiently as possible, they may need to ask for further details or check information in your medical records when you phone the Surgery. You may be asked for some general details concerning your symptoms when requesting an urgent appointment or home visit. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the Doctors and Nurses. Please appreciate and understand that Receptionists are not qualified to discuss your clinical care but they will do their best to point you in the right direction.
Please, remember that our Receptionists have a very difficult and demanding job and we please ask that you show the same courtesy to them as with all members of our practice team.
