Beacon Medical Practice is a dispensing practice at our Surgeries in Ingoldmells and Chapel St Leonards. If you live more than one mile from a pharmacy, you may be eligible to have your prescription dispensed and delivered by one of our dispensing surgeries. Unfortunately, for legal reasons, we are unable to dispense for patients who live within a mile of a privately owned pharmacy. We have a competent team of friendly and fully qualified Dispensers providing a professional service to all our dispensing patients.
Patients are able to obtain their medicines from our Dispensary if living more than a mile from a pharmacy. If you are in doubt, please ask our Receptionists or Dispensers. If you are a dispensing patient, your prescription will be sent direct to our Dispensary where it will be dispensed within two working days.
Patients, who are taking several different medications, may sometimes find it difficult to take the right drug at the right time. Blister packs can help make it simpler and easier to take the right medication at the right time by dividing your tablets into separately sectioned blisters, each marked with the time of day when the tablets should be taken.
In February 2013 Beacon Medical Practice launched this service for those dispensing patients who are on multiple medications. We offer the facility to put the medication into weekly blister packs. These packs will be delivered to patients homes once a week using our delivery service.
For those dispensing patients who have difficulty collecting their medication from the Dispensary and for those patients who have their medication in blister packs, Beacon Medical Practice offers a free delivery service.
With your support for our dispensing services Beacon Medical Practice is able to protect all our existing GP services and continues to strive towards excellence of these services, benefiting the health of all our patients.
